We believe that baptism is the next step for those who profess faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Baptism is “going public” with your faith in Jesus Christ. Also, it is a requirement for church membership.
baptism is a picture of the new life in Christ. When the person is submerged under water they are signifying that they are buried with Christ; their old life is dead (Romans 6:4). When one is raised from the water they are signifying that they are raised with Christ in the newness of life (Romans 6:4).
It’s important to know that baptism does not save you. Baptism is a picture of the work that God has done in your life by saving you.
Before an individual is baptized at PSBC we like to meet with them. We will give you a small book to read through prior to your baptism and you will meet with an elder to discuss your new decision.
